Witness Statement

To encourage the congregation to allow God the Holy Spirit to work within their lives, that they may be open to opportunities to share their faith both as individuals and as a congregation within the church and throughout the community.

Shared Visions of the Ministry Team

We seek to cast spiritual influence upon existing members to reawaken the member's spirituality and to reach others, who are as yet unknown, with the Gospel and introduce them to Christ's Church.   

Our team attempts to reach out to the community by participating in parades, and other community events in ways that brings glory to God. Our aim is to draw together members and friends of all ages in a spirit of true Christian caring and cooperation.

You may notice us in the community with our Hayes Memorial UMC hats and T-shirts on, stop by and let's get acquainted.             

Team Membership - There are numerous opportunities for persons whose spiritual gifts fall within this category of ministry. Persons with such interests and talents are encouraged to make contact with the Outreach Coordinator who will guide you to the appropriate Ministry Leader.

On-going Ministries:

Worship Attendance Follow-up - Communicate and offer service to members absent from worship to reawaken their spiritual interest.

First-Time Worshipers Welcome - In cooperation with the Worship Ministry Team, this team reviews the Worship Attendance Cards to identify first-time guests and mail to guess a follow-up thank you postcard, phone call and or home visit.
